Our Approach

Behavioural change takes time, patience, and consistency, but every step forward will strengthen the bond between you and your dog – and ultimately lead to a calmer, happier life for both of you. Your behavioural journey with your dog will look a little like this:

Pre-Consultation Step

Many dogs struggle because they are in pain, but are too stoical to let us know. A vet check is always required before your consultation. A behaviourist can not recommend or prescribe medication, so if your dog will benefit from the support of medication, collaborating with your vet is essential. Denise will also provide you with a form to complete, and possibly some questionnaires.

Consultation

The consultation is a 2-3 hour in-person appointment at your home. In the session we take a deeper dive into your dog’s history, make body-language observations, and offer immediate management advice and support to get you started. You will be taught any cues (commands) required. Following the consultation a full behaviour modification plan will be provided to you and your vet.

Ongoing Progress & Support

Together we monitor improvements, and together we will adjust techniques to ensure progress is being made. Denise will continue to collaborate with your vet where needed, and provide follow-up support sessions via Zoom/Teams (30 mins per week).

Prices

The prices quoted cover provision and review of full history forms/questionnaires, one on-site session (allow 2-3 hours), preparation of the behaviour modification plan, collaboration with your vet where needed, and support as needed via email/WhatsApp during working hours for either 1 month or 3 months.
